Drum Gesture for editing

There are different specific gesture/movement when creating music. The gesture could be map to the "editing" process of story telling/creating.

For example: A fast action of drumming will result in fast-cut of clips.

Tangible interaction Workshop:

An interactive platform for Story Telling. Has a social media characteristics which line up participants together (could be friends and could be someone somewhere else)


Agent - young generation who love to create. This is an public platform, so users are not limited by physical location.


Agency - interactive platform for story creation and sharing. May use direct manipulation, gesture input (sign language of Beijing Opera)


Act - Capture images and drawings to create personal stories, but allow co-creation with friends and other users. Through the platform, one user will capturing images and drawings to start the story, then it will be passed to another users to continue the development. Different styles of visualization and storytelling will be allowed which gives a vivid atmosphere for the creation.


Purpose - Facilitate communication, sharing and synergy for creative concepts. Group dynamics between participants enhance the imagination and innovation.


Context - Creation on a digital platform which links people from reality to virtual world and back to reality, similar to the interaction model of Beijing Opera one.

THe gongs and drums have the function of leading the rhythm of the play and enhance the effects of performance. It affects deeply and widely, from the movement of characters on stage to the rhythm of blinking of eyes.
